Project Overview
Built a corporate marketing website on WordPress for KPMG’s Innovation Factory, supplier of the PIT® innovation platform used by global enterprises; implementing a custom theme based on Genesis framework with fully responsive templates and a lightweight component system.
Scope & Contributions
- Frontend implementation — Translated design mockups and UX flows into accessible, responsive HTML/CSS/JS with reusable sections (hero, in-page nav, parallax blocks, sliders).
- Theme development (Genesis) — Developed a child theme with clean templates, partials, and sensible customization hooks.
- Custom plugin — Added content types and admin screens to manage blog posts, slideshows, partners, clients, team members, contacts, and custom landing pages.
- Editor experience — Structured fields and page builders so non-technical editors could publish without developer help.
- Performance & SEO — Image optimization and lazy-loading, asset minification, meta/Open Graph tags, and sitemap support.
- Email template — Designed and built a responsive Mailchimp newsletter template matching the site’s look-and-feel for consistent brand communications.
- CI/CD — Configured Jenkins jobs for repeatable builds and deployments.
Outcomes
- Consistent brand presence across web and email campaigns.
- Faster publishing for editors via purpose-built content models and admin UX.
- Stable releases and easier maintenance through a clear theme/plugin split and Jenkins-based deployment.
